Located in the heart of beautiful DeRidder, Louisiana, in Beauregard Parish, the historic DeRidder USO Building proudly stands today as the War Memorial Civic Center—a treasured landmark with a rich legacy of service to our military and community.

LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS
Through a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the Beauregard Parish Police Jury (BPPJ), the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs operates its Beauregard Parish Veterans Service Office within our historic facility. Services are available by appointment only to assist veterans and their families with accessing benefits, resources, and support. Our historic facility offers two smaller event rooms and a spacious auditorium, featuring its beautiful original 1941 hardwood floors, available for a variety of special occasions and gatherings.

VETERAN SPOTLIGHT
Charese Mack
Charese L. Mack is a United States Army Veteran. She held the rank of Sergeant and served honorably as an Army Logistics Specialist from March 19, 1998-August 8, 2004. She has served as an Equipment Records Parts Specialist, Class IX Warehouse Specialist, Class IX Warehouse Supervisor, and an Ammunition Manager. Sergeant Mack’s awards include Kosovo Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Metal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, and Nato Medal.
Currently, Ms. Mack is employed as a Claims Specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and a Master of Business Administration Degree. She is a disciple of Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Dr. Keith W. Stevenson, Pastor, and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She has one daughter, Jordan. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 23.
